LIKE THE TERROIR, SO THE WINE
Microclimate, terrain, geology and soil properties work together to great effect at the Eichenstein. And when these happy circumstances come together with the principles of responsible people, that’s perfection.
THE HISTORY OF OUR TERRAIN AND OUR VINEYARDS
Tens of thousands of years ago, a volcanic eruption brought forth the porphyry, quartzite and granite that characterise our lands today (Eichenstein vineyard). Moraine soil (Marling vineyard) with mineral-rich deposits typify the landscape and the soil; The climate, soil, location and landscape nurture the growth and the success of our wines.
To the north, the towering peaks shelter us from harsh winds, and the open lands of the south bring the warmth of the Mediterranean climate. The temperature fluctuations between day and night bring finesse and freshness, and exploiting these conditions to their best advantage is our task. The terroir is our dearest treasure.

MULTI-FACETED AND
ELEGANT
The terroir, marked by an Alpine landscape and Mediterranean climate, reveals all of its intricate interplay in the elegance of our classic wines and the complexity of our select wines.
